Red and Aqua Color Challenge

Hi everyone, welcome back to Our Creative Corner! Thank you to everyone who played along in the All the B's challenge last week, your creations were divine!

Sarah here again with your challenge for this week. This is my last week on the OCC team, it's been wonderful sharing your creations these past 18 months. I hope you'll still come visit me from time to time and I KNOW you're just going to love all the creations from the new design team members!

I'm leaving you with probably my favourite colour combo ever - Red and Aqua. From soft aqua to a bright turquoise, this combo never fails to delight, and if you wish, add in some soft pink for an extra pop!

Let's see what the design team came up with...

Our New Design Team

We want to thank each and every one of you who honored us by applying for a spot on our team. There were so many great entries!   It was a tough choice but the team reviewed all the applications and helped make the decision on who would be invited.  And now we are excited to announce the addition of the following new members to the Our Creative Corner Design Team.

Tui Nathan - Stampin' Time
Holly Kean - Kean on Paper
Marjie Kemper - She Who Stamps and Scraps
Anne Marie Hile - Stampin' Anne

Welcome aboard, ladies!  We are so excited about the opportunity to design alongside such a talented group.

And while we are thrilled to welcome our new members, it's tough to say good bye to Sarah Gough who will be leaving us after Saturday's challenge.  Sarah has been with us for the past year and has contributed an amazing body of work for our challenges over that time.  Hope you will all visit her and wish her luck with her new team at My Favorite Things!

Copenhagen Winner!

Greeting Ladies from "the Top of the Glove"....for you Midwesterners you may know what I'm talking about....  I'm out of town again, but never fear - I'm ready with my pick from last weeks challenge!  It seems that many of you may have been a little imtimidated by my Copenhagen challenge....raise your hand it you're adicted to patterned papers, my hands up....  Don't be afraid to think outside of your normal creative box, you never know what fabulous creation you'll come up with!

So without further adou, here is my pick from the challenge:

Rudlis!  Her backgound is simply tremendous, the layered stamping she did is the perfect solution when you run out of your favorite patterned paper.  The layers of texture and images are stunning as well.  Kudos to you Rudlis!  Don't forget to join us this week for our All the B's challenge!

White Winner!

Thanks to all of you that participated in last week's White Party challenge.  You made it VERY hard for me to choose a winner for this challenge...REALLY, REALLY hard...  I wish I could pass out the award to several of you; like Paul B and Holly.  But I have to admit I can't pick just one, so I picked one each from the 2 styles I love, Shabby and CAS.

First Shabby kudos to Lenet!  Her card uses several different shades of white and different textures to make an amazing creation!

Second, CAS kudos go to Tui!  Her card is simple and perfect.  I love the embossed wood grain in the background and negative heart.  Genius!

Thank you to everyone that came and played at our White Party!  I hope you'll join us this week as we travel to Copenhagen - grab your passport and play along!

Copenhagen

Hello again ladies!
I am completely in love with all the white creations you came up with last week!  I will have my work cut out choosing a winner....wish me luck....
This week I have a challenge for you that's close to my heart!  Copenhagen.  My dear BFF lives over there and I have had several opportunities to visit her there.  The city is old, historic, charming and inspiring; hence how I came up with this challenge!  Your job this week is to make a creation based on one of the photos below but the catch is, you CAN'T use any pre-printed papers. Make sure you let us know which photo inspired your creation and get creative.  Now, break out those stamps, embossing folders and fabrics, I can't wait to see all you come up with!

It's a White Party!

Hello ladies!  It's Kristin here from LilyBeth Boutique, I am so happy to be here today and hope you're enjoying your summer.  I don't know about where you're at, but it's sure hot here!  Now, my favorite summer events are garden parties, you know the ones when everyone wears white?  That's my inspiration for this week's challenge, we're having a White party!  I don't know about you, but I LOVE white!  The challenge is for you to ONLY use white in you creation.  Think it will look flat?  Enhance the color with textures and patterns.  Check out these photos for inspiration...
Before you panic, I'm sure you know there are MANY shades of white, combine them all for this challenge!  The only exception to the white rule is that you may use a light, neutral ink for your project sentiment.  That's it!  Now, the design team has created AMAZING projects for this weeks challenge.  Here are their inspirational creations to get your spark on:

Guest Designer - Carla Suto - Carla's Stamping Spot

Kristin Tierney - LilyBeth Boutique

Lori Rider - The Diva Stamper

Vicki Burdick -Its A Stamp Thing

Jen Rzasa - Our Change of Art

Linda Coughlin - The Funkie Junkie

Alright now ladies!  I'm really excited to see the creations you come up with!
